Keren’s Nursery comprises of four nurseries with branches in Hampstead Garden Suburb, Belsize Park, Holland Park and Wimbledon.

We are best known for family-style care, the home away from home warmth and nurturing we offer to every child, and our cosmopolitan outlook.

Why Families Join Our Nursery Community

Families are drawn to us because of the sense of belonging and welcoming communities we have built at each of our branches. Every child reaches their full potential when they become part of our extended family.

For us that’s about getting the balance right between learning, playing, communicating, time spent outside and physical development.

Our Philosophy

Our aim is to educate confident, independent children who are upright citizens of the world. We aspire to instil pre-schoolers with a sense of resilience, confidence and self-motivation. At the same time, we encourage children to be proud of what makes them unique – whether that’s their first language or different customs at home.

We do this by providing a secure environment in which children are encouraged to take risks and make their own choices.

What We Teach

Our nurseries are filled with children speaking and understanding many different languages, reflecting their diversity. As part of our settling in process, teachers learn each child’s key familiar words in their prime language, then model the same words in English, making sure the child hears both languages, often using visual prompts to help understanding. In addition, each child is greeted in the morning in their prime language, setting the scene for an enjoyable day.

All children regularly access Forest School sessions led by our Level 3 Qualified Forest School Leaders. We have a strong belief that time outside, independence and creativity are key for happy children. Children play outside daily.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Specialist teachers come in to teach yoga, zumba, music and sports, and additional classes can be taken in woodwork and cookery.

Our Teachers

Just like our children, teachers at Keren’s Nurseries are learning and developing all the time too. We run a comprehensive on-going programme of teacher training and development.

All teachers are qualified in the Occupational Therapy-based programme, Moving Matters.
